Back in 2016, we launched the Elite 28 – a hydrostatic inflatable PFD built with a 3D chassis and refined using wind tunnel testing to reduce drag at high speeds. Thanks to its sleek profile and proven performance, it quickly became a go-to for pro anglers and tournament circuits. But one piece of feedback came up again and again: after hours of wear, the chassis started to press into your neck. That was a problem. Even high-performance PFDs were getting left behind, tucked into dry bags, clipped to guard rails, or stuffed out of sight. Not because they didn’t work, but because people didn’t want to wear them all day. So when we started work on the Elite 120/190 and Atlas 190, the goal was simple: make them so comfortable you’d never want to take them off. We dug into what makes a PFD actually wearable. How it fits when you sit. How it feels when you move. After months of design work and many samples, we completely re-engineered the chassis, softened pressure points, and reshaped the neckline to stay off the neck entirely.
